About the job

Our client is a leading firm of independent financial advisers with offices throughout the UK. They are now looking for an experienced Business Developer to join them for a 12-month fixed term contract role to help them grow and develop their professional partnership business. specifically within the medical and dental sectors.

The role: The role holder will be allocated a specific geographical territory and be responsible for generating leads and appointments for the company’s financial advisers within that territory, which meet the target client profile of the company.

The role will contribute directly and substantially to the attainment of the company’s revenue target for Medical & Dental business.

The role holder will establish and maintain close and effective relationships with local counterparts in the Medical & Dental sectors. This may be local representatives of member organisation and professional bodies, including the BMA, training professionals, professional service providers or other parties that may facilitate access to Medical & Dental professionals.

Through these local networks, the role holder will agree and deliver marketing and lead generation events both digitally and face to face where appropriate with the objective of securing appointments for the company’s financial advisers.

The role holder will have extensive interaction with the Regional Senior Managers, Senior Managers and Medical & Dental advisers across the relevant region.

The role covers a designated geographical area and will require travel within this area, and potentially occasional overnight stays.

To deliver leads and appointments resulting in the generation of written business, in order to meet the company’s business targets. To build on existing relationships with key individuals in the local Medical & Dental networks, and secure and develop nurture new relationships, via networking, personal introductions and promotional activity.

  • IT Literate (Excel, PowerPoint, word and outlook) Experience:

  • Experience of approaching, securing and developing business relationships Previous experience of initiating, arranging and managing the delivery of events and Business Development

  • Has specialist knowledge of the Hospital Doctor and GP Market Challenges: Overcoming gatekeeper management

  • Extensive travelling and sensible diary management Self-motivation Working on your own

In return, there is a highly competitive package on offer of between £24,000 - £42,000 DOE.
