Dev Ops Manager

Our client is a London headquartered company with development centres located in Asia including Hong Kong and the Philippines.
An opportunity has arisen for a Dev Ops Manager, based in the office in London, to help implement the software platform for a new digital asset exchange with a focus on an institutional client base. The ideal applicant will bring previous experience in building scalable mission-critical market data financial systems.
The candidate will have product experience with traditional capital markets platforms including execution management systems, order management systems and exchanges; candidates with experience with DLT/Blockchain technologies and products will be given priority.
The right applicant will have experience being a hands-on technical leader able to operate in the weeds when necessary but also at improving processes and technical operations across the group. The dev ops team operates as one across the globe.
Define and own DevOps engineering best practices
Introduce SMART processes and procedures
Coach, develop and mentor engineers.
Currently 1 senior and 2 junior engineers are based in the Philippines.
they are a rapidly growing start-up organisation, you will be an early employee (<75 currently) so there will be fantastic opportunities for growth and moving into more senior positions and scaling the team as the company expands. The package is negotiable but the basic salary will be c £70,000 - £100,000 DOE.
Experience in the design of cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS
Experience building and operating services on AWS and with RESTful APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience in administration and troubleshooting of Linux based systems
Experience in deployment automation, monitoring and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS)
Expert knowledge of the development life cycle process (CI/CD)
Experience with containerization and container orchestration services
Networking knowledge to CCNA level or higher
Scripting experience (Linux, PowerShell)
Knowledge of penetration testing, stress testing and performance testing
Firm understanding of Security principles and their implementation in day to day activities.
£70,000 - £100,000 per annum, negotiable
